MORNING

1.Grammar activities for Thursday and Friday mornings

I have uploaded 2 Classroom Secrets grammar activities and power point slides to accompany each activity about using relative clauses. Work through the Varied Fluency (revision) today and the Application and Reasoning tomorrow.  Answers are given.  Please complete the sheet that you normally work from.

2. Maths

Today we are moving onto our new block of learning:  Multiplication and Division. I have also uploaded the worksheets and answers.  If you feel confident I have also uploaded the power point slides with worksheets and answers for Maths Mastery Multiply by 4-Digits by 1-digit.

3.  English

1. If you have not done so, please finish your poem and with a grown up check it for spelling errors. If possible, decorate it with pictures, for example, bowls of gruel, cheese and bread, children in workhouse clothes, oakum (old rope).  Send it to me and I will print it out and it will go into our Class Poetry Book. 

2. Continue with your new ‘Talk for Writing’ Booklet.  ‘Wonderful Wizards’. Today I would like you to complete page 17.  Now you are ready to write your advert for your Wizard School.

Reading

Please remember to read independently for 40 minutes!  When you log onto Purple Mash you will see that I have given you an e-book to read ‘Ollie and the Great Stink’.  You have until after half term to read Chapters 1 and 2.

For your 30 minute Guided Reading Session I would like you to complete the reading comprehension questions for Chapters 10 and 11 of ‘Street Child’.

Topic and Science

Please use this session to work on your ‘My Famous Victorian Project’.  I have also uploaded the slides from the power point from yesterday Google Meet Science lesson.  Check that you have included the key scientific vocabulary when writing your prediction and explaining your results.
