St Barnabas’ Primary School, Tunbridge Wells, is a Voluntary Aided Church School, with our ethos and values reflected in a strong Christian tradition.
Following the example of St Barnabas and his role in encouraging others (Acts 4:36), we ensure that:
Each child is uniquely created and loved by God.
As a smaller school, we have the privilege of knowing every child really well, from our youngest to the oldest pupil. We greatly value all members of our school community and place our partnership and relationships with families, community and church at the heart of our community.
Fr John Caster, our Parish Priest, leads weekly worship and regular school Mass services in St Barnabas’ Church, as well as contributing to the teaching and learning of RE.
We look forward to welcoming you.
What a brilliant Makers' Market we had in school yesterday afternoon - there were lots of different items to buy and the Year 6 children were very good at selling their wares. The school office would like to commend the lemon-iest lemonade which was most welcome on such a hot day! This would not have been such a success without the hard work of the children and staff in Oak Class, and all the parents, carers and children who came along to support them. Thank you everybody As if that wasn't enough fun, children in Years 1-5 got to watch Fantastic Mr Fox while this was going on (and they had their own dedicated market in the hall) - thanks to the staff for helping and keeping the children as cool as possible! As we move into the final week of term, which swings between for the break and at losing our Year 6 children, keep an eye out for class emails and don't forget, the PTFA will holding their annual Picnic in the Park next Friday after school
