Welcome to Maple Class!

I am really looking forward to seeing the children tomorrow, and to meeting those children who were not able to visit Maple Class at the end of last term.

This week will be mainly focusing on settling into the new class and learning the new routines. We will be investigating The Artist, by Ed Vere, a delightful book about a brave little artist who shares her creativity with the world. The children will be sharing their thoughts and ideas, completing some artwork and creating their own stories, based on the text.

We will also be making a start on the maths curriculum, starting with Place Value and beginning our times table challenges, something the children all enjoy in year 3!

Each week, moving forward, I will share with you the learning goals for the coming week and keep you up to date with our learning journey. I will also include the homework for each week and any key pieces of information.
