In English and Communication this week, we are focusing on creating pieces of writing inspired by 'The Artist' by Ed Vere. We are going to take Ed Vere's text and edit and adapt it to create our own prices of creative writing. We will then add these to the mixed media pieces of art that we created last week. 

In Phonics, we are going to quickly revisit and practise the Level 3 sounds that we learnt in Yr1. In Guided Reading we are answering Vocabulary, Inference, Prediction, Explanation and Retrieval questions linked to 'The Artist' by Ed Vere. 

In Maths, we are continuing to focus on Place Value. We are going to focus on spotting 10s and 1s. We will build 2-digit numbers using dines, numicon, and place value cards. We will also explore how we can use Place Value grids to record our thinking. Finally, we will use this understanding to help us partition 2-digit numbers. 

In Science and Computing we are going to begin to explore the role that Information Technology plays in our everyday lives and at school. 

We will also be completing Time and Place, Mastering Number, Religious Education and Design and the Arts sessions.
