In English and Communication we are going to focus on adding extra detail to the basic narratives that we created last term. We will focus on using adverbial phrases to start sentences in interesting ways. We will also add descriptive sentences which explain what the characters can see and how they feel. 

In Phonics, we are going to focus on adding the -ed and -ing suffixes to words. We will also learn the tricky words England and tongue. 

In Maths, we are going to focus on Volume and Capacity. We will begin by comparing volume and capacity and then explore how ml and litres can be used to measure with increased accuracy. 

In Time and Place, we are going to explore the role that castles played in the invasion and settlement of England in the 11th Century. We will also identify and learn about the key features of Motte and Bailey castles. 

In Science, we will explore the results from our plant investigation. We will use IT to present our findings using a range of different charts and graphs. We will then compare and contrast and make decisions relating to the most effective means of data presentation.
