This week Tunmises completed some research into the Great Fire of London. Here is what she found out:

    The great fire of London

    1. When did it happen?

It happened past midnight on the 2 nd of September 1666.

    2. Where did it start?

It started in a bakery shop in Pudding lane.

    3. Why did the fire spread so quickly?

It did spread quickly because the houses were in disrepair, the houses were built of wood and straw, there was strong wind, it was summer and the sea was dry.

    4. How was the fire put out?

The Navy blew up the buildings with gunpowder.

    5. How did the fire change London?

It left people sad, hungry, homeless and jobless but when it was rebuilt London looked very different.
