Term 2 Week 6

Here is an overview of our learning activities for the week commencing 9th December 2024.

This week in Phonics we will be learning about words with the ‘ou’ digraph in them. We will also be learning to read the words ‘water’ and ‘where’ and to spell the words ‘should’, ‘would’ and ‘could’.

In RE, the class will be discussing our key question for the term (Why does Christmas matter to Christians?) and reflecting on what we have learnt this term.

In Art, we will be decorating baubles to sell at the PTFA Christmas Fair on Friday afternoon.

In our Computing lesson, we will be using coloured dots to create a sunflower picture in the style of Georges Pierre Seurat.

This week, Willow Class will have PE on Thursday morning only.

We will also be rehearsing for the KS1 Nativity play on Monday morning and Tuesday afternoon. We are looking forward to performing our play on Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th December at 2:15pm.

On Friday 13th December, Willow Class will be walking to the Royal Victoria Place theatre to see the show "Fearless Fox and the Christmas Star." We will be leaving school at around 10.15am and will be back in time for lunch.

If you have any questions or need help with anything, please contact us using the class email address (willow@st-barnabas.kent.sch.uk).
