Term 2 Week 2
Here is an overview of our learning activities for the week commencing 11th November 2024.
In Phonics, we will be learning to read and write words containing the ‘ea’ digraph (such as bead, seat and least). We will also be reading the words ‘Mr’ and ‘Mrs’ and writing the words ‘were’ and ‘there’.
In Maths, we will be learning subtraction. This week we will be finding the missing parts of some part whole models and starting to investigate number fact families.
In English, we will be writing instructions. This week we will be talking about how to use time connectives (first, then, next, after that) and imperative verbs (put, stick, mix) to make our instructions clear.
In our Computing lesson we will be using shapes and lines to make a picture.
In our Art lesson we will be finishing off our portraits and making clay figures in the style of Antony Gormley.
In RE, we will be talking about the Nativity story and discussing why Jesus’ birth is important to Christians.
