Term 1 Week 4
Here is an overview of our learning activities for the week commencing 30th September 2024.
This week in our English work we are going to focus on the book ‘Quest’ by Aaron Becker. This is a wordless book with detailed illustrations of a magical world that exists through a door. This week we will be discussing some of the pictures from the start of the book and thinking of adjectives to describe the castle scene.
In Maths, we will continue to focus on the numbers 0 to 10. This week we will be learning about maths vocabulary, less than (<), more than (>) and equal to (=), and comparing groups of objects and numbers.
In RE, we will be discussing examples of how Christians put their beliefs about God into practice in worship.
Willow Class has PE on Thursday morning. The children will continue to develop their ball skills in team games.
On Tuesday morning, Willow Class will be visiting The Amelia for a workshop on ‘The Changing High Street’. On Friday the class will be visiting Lynne’s Organic Farm near Crowborough to learn about how fruit and vegetables grow and to talk to Farmer Jeremy about what it is like to live on a farm.
If you have any questions or need help with anything, please contact us using the class email address (willow@st-barnabas.kent.sch.uk).
