This week in Phonics we will be learning to read and write simple sentences containing CCVC words such as ‘frog’ and ‘stop’. We will also be reading the words ‘like’, ‘some’ and ‘come’ and writing the words ‘was’ and ‘you’.

In English, we will be writing simple sentences including possessive determiners, such as ‘my’, ‘your’, ‘his’, ‘her’, ‘our’ and ‘their’. For example: This is my coat. That is her jumper. We will also be talking about what a noun is.

In Maths, we will continue to focus on the numbers zero to ten. This week we will be counting forwards from any number, finding one more than a given number and counting back from 10.

In RE, we will be listening to the story of the Lost Son and will be retelling the story using picture cards.

In PE, the children will be continuing to develop their ball control skills so they are ready to play team games.

In Computing, we will be using laptops and drawing a picture using the trackpad.

In Science, we will be describing different everyday materials, such as plastic, metal and wood.
