This week in Phonics we will be learning about words with long vowels in them (such as ‘a’ in acorn, ’e’ in emu, ‘i’ in lion, ‘o’ in hotel and ‘u’ in unicorn). We will also be learning to read the words ‘who’ and ‘why’ and to spell the words ‘want’ and ‘their’.

In Maths, we will be learning about number fact families and subtracting by taking away or crossing out. We will also be revisiting some of our previous learning to consolidate what we have learnt.

In our RE lesson, we will be starting to talk about why Jesus’ birth is important to Christians and how the story of Jesus’ life is retold in the Gospels in the Bible.

In our Computing lesson we will be using shapes and lines to make a picture.

In our Art lesson, we will be finishing off our portraits and using poster paints to create pictures.

Willow class has PE on Monday morning and Thursday morning. Please make sure your child has their full PE kit in school on those days.
