Home Learning Plans
Week beginning 13/07/2020
It is the last week of school so I don’t think you would want me to set you formal lessons. Instead, I have put together a selection of activities for you to do.
There is some maths, spag, art and other stuff to have a try at.
In class this week, we are watching the movie ‘Wonder’. If you would like to watch it, it is available to rent for:
-
£3.49 at Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/Wonder-Jacob-Tremblay/dp/B077T9TM69
-
£3.45 on Google Play https://play.google.com/store/movies/details/Wonder?id=wp6pAPDuxSA&hl=en
-
I think it is also currently available of Netflix
On Tuesday afternoon, at 1:45 pm, I am asking anyone who would like to be in the Leavers Song videos to come together on Google Meet to record you all singing a verse of each song together. I will be asking you to sing the third to last verse of High Hopes and a verse and chorus section from Once I Was In Year One ( the sections beginning ‘Once I was in Year 3’ and ‘I started climbing stairs’. I will not force you to do it but it would be lovely to have you as a part of your own leavers’ song. Please email for the link.
I have put the lyrics and links in the previous 2 week’s folders so you should all have copies to practise with.
Hopefully, I will see you all at the Leaver’s Award Presentation on Thursday. If you have any questions about this, please contact me at oak@st-barnabas.kent.sch.uk
Unfortunately, as it took quite a while to collect all the photos needed for the yearbook, it won’t be here in time for the last day. I will be sending an email to you all as soon as I know the delivery date and letting you know a good time to come and pick them (and I’ll get another chance to say goodbye ;-)) If it is not possible for you to collect it on the date I give you, email me and let me know and I will find a way to get it to you. I am really sorry not to be able to give it to you on your last day but an earlier end of term and the current situation meant that it just wasn’t doable.
For those of you that are not joining us on Thursday, I wish you enormous good luck for your transition to secondary school. Hopefully, we’ll bump into each other at some point and you can let me know how it is all going.
Thanks for being such a fun class and making my job so much fun.
Love from Miss Mercer
