In Phonics, we will be learning to read and write words containing the ‘au’ digraph (such as August, autumn and launch) and the ‘aw’ digraph (such as paw, claw and draw). We will also be reading the words ‘friend’ and ‘also’ and writing the words ‘who’ and ‘why’.

In English, we will be starting to write a fact file about amphibians. WE will also be working with The Drama Geezers on Wednesday morning to do some activities around the book Dear Earth by Isabel Otter.

In Maths, we will be learning about subtraction. This week we will be subtracting ones using number bonds, subtracting by counting back and finding the difference between two numbers. We will also be looking at the composition of numbers within 10 in our fluency work.

As part of our science work, we will be observing changes in the weather across the week and recording our findings on a weather chart.
