In English and Communication this week, we are exploring different ways of recording direct speech. First we created speech bubbles to record a conversation involving Samuel Pepys. Next, we transferred this into a comic strip. Finally, we used the rules of speech punctuation to record it as a piece of narrative. 

In phonics we are learning to use 'kn' to make the /n/ sound. This week's tricky words are 'other' and 'does'. In guided reading we are exploring the conventions of play scrips and using this understanding to help us to practise our lines for the Nativity play. 

In Maths, we are focusing on adding to and from multiples of 10. 

Time and Place we are revisiting all the learning that we have so far completed on the Great Fire of London. We are then going to explore how these historical details can be added into our diary entries. 

In Science and Computing, we are going to start a new Digital Photography unit of work. We will explore how digital cameras can be used to take a range of different types of image. 

We will also complete PE, Design and the Arts, Mastering Number and Nativity rehearsals as well,
