In English and Communication this week, we are going to continue and complete our pieces of instruction writing explaining how to make Mr M angry. We will then use and apply this understanding to write instructions which help our hero complete sections of their quest. 

In Phonics, we are looking at using 'al' and 'il' to make the /l/ sound. E.g. festival, pupil, total, April, medal, local, pencil, nostril. Our grammar focus is to use capital letters for place names. 

In Maths, we are learning to calculate with money. First of all, we will use and apply our understanding of addition to find the total of two or more values. Next, we will use the 'finding the difference' technique to calculate change. 

In Science and Computing, we are going to use our understanding of programming to create algorithms to direct floor robots. 

In Time and Place, we are going to use our understanding of Human and Physical features to design an island in which our quest can take place. 

In Design and the Arts, we are going to continue using block printing techniques to create repeating patterns.
