Term 3 Week 4

Here is an overview of our learning activities for the week commencing 27th January 2025.

In our main Phonics lessons we will be learning to read and write words containing ‘ew’. In some words, it makes a ‘yoo’ sound (such as in new & few) and in other words it makes an ‘oo’ sound (such as in chew & grew). We will also be reading the words ’because’ and ‘different’ and writing the words ‘asked’ and ‘called’.

In English, we will be writing a fact file about mammals, including the features and what they eat.

In Maths, we will be ordering numbers to 20, adding by counting on and adding ones to a number.

In our Computing lesson, we will be continuing to use the Bee-Bots to move from one location to another.

In RE, we will be discussing how Christians put their beliefs into practice in the Church community and their own lives (for example, giving to charity and saying sorry to God if they do something wrong).

In our Time and Place lesson, we will be learning about what modern hospitals are like and comparing this to Mary Seacole’s hospital.
